It’s a time monitoring and management utility that resides unobtrusively in the background and records all your computer activity in order to provide you with relevant statistics of how you actually used (or wasted) your time.

Its automated ways of tracking your activity make this tool great for replacing “punch clock” - type applications which require your manual interaction and might be affected by human errors (you may always forget to start and stop the clock). That’s not the case with ManicTime, as it detects the applications you use all the time and tracks the time you spend using each of these applications, regardless of how many there are and how often you switch among them.

At the end of the day, you can get a clear view of how you spent your time, as this powerful application lets you sort, filter and organize the collected data according to various criteria. The intuitive interface even lets you perform these data organizing operations by dragging the timelines around.
